29 Gallon South American Dwarf Tank

29 G tank
This tank represents my trip into planted territory. It is my first attempt at a planted tank, and I am not by any means a expert in this style. However, after much reading and a lot of advice, I can say that the tank is going well.

Water Parameters
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
pH 6.0-6.5
GH
KH
Filtration Penguin Bio wheel 125
1 Powerhead
Lighting 4 20w flourescant

I try to check the ammonia and nitrite levels every two weeks, the nitrate level every week, and the other values very rarely as a periodic check-up. The substrate is 50% regular gravel and 50% flourite. I do use a home made CO² kit to help with the plants growth and keeping the pH levels low. This Link take you to the page I used as a guideline to set it up. In addition, I add plant fetilizer, both in tablet and liquid form. Every week, or so, I have to trim pack the plants.
