55 Gallon Mbuna Tank

55 G tank
This tank represents my trip into planted territory. It is my first attempt at a planted tank, and I am not by any means a expert in this style. However, after much reading and a lot of advice, I can say that the tank is going well.

I try to check the ammonia and nitrite levels every two weeks, the nitrate level every week, and the other values very rarely as a periodic check-up. The substrate is 75% crushed coral and 25% crushed coral sand. The rocks are lava rock. I perform many water changes on this tank. This is the first tank I setup. These fish spawn very frequently and one or more females are always carrying young.
