MANUSCRIPT/PORTFOLIO CRITIQUES

Available to registered attendees only

Published authors and illustrators will meet with you during the conference to comment on your portfolio/dummy, or the first 10 pages of your manuscript--fiction, nonfiction or magazine article.

Bring portfolios to the conference.  Send registration and critique fees.

Writers send the properly formatted first 10 pages of your manuscript.

Proper format:  Put your name and address in the upper left hand corner, single-spaced. The first page text (double spaced, 12 point font, at least one inch margins) starts three quarters of the way down the page.  TITLE and By Your Name are centered and double spaced above the text.  Following pages are numbered and have your last name and a few key words from the title in the upper left corner.

Two scholarships to attend the conference will be awarded in honor of past member, Jack Reid, who gave so much of himself to this Region. If you would like to attend the conference, but are limited by your financial situation, we urge you to apply for a scholarship.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Can I pay at the door?

Yes for conference registration, no for critiques. You can't get a portfolio, manuscript, or first page critique unless you register and send in your money by June 19
